Colchester Refugee Action ran an online auction which raised £700.00!! . I painted it in 2004 having travelled to Kjiev during the Orange Revolution.
A wonderful project for Essex artists to contribute a page of their art to this sketchbook that at the end of the year is a bible of work. I am very proud to have been invited to draw in the book - must say it is such a precious thing - makes me really nervous.
We are delighted to be hosting the Travelling Sketchbook at the Brightlingsea Art and Craft Trail 20-21 July 2019 - hopefully we can revive the tradition in 2025 it has sadly lost council funding
Boats and water -
We initiated the Brightlingsea Regatta Art & Crafts Trail allowing artists as local businesses to book indoor venues to show their work in 2022 - hopefully we can revive this event in 2025
Among my favoutite projects in Germay was to bring a museum to life for kids. Urzeithof Fehrenboetel. The original work is on permanent loan at the Museum. All "Dinos" are available as Prints and art cards directly from me.
I look forward to similar projects working with kids and natural pigments for example
A very moving project to bring the "outside in" using wall art for residential patients and staff at this amazing facility for patients with learning disablitilies in Thorrington. the work done with Susan Wood is now in the Cygnet Health Trust journal
Sadly the patients have been dispersed following a private take-over
