Brightlingsea Winterfest Art & Craft Workshops
The Winterfest in Brightlingsea is an art & music festival for all to chase away the Winter blues. We local artists are very much part of it and run workshops for the local community from beginners to advanced.
2021 was online - 2022 we artists take a step back to recover our creativity but some crafters and of course the musicians will be on stage
I am donating my painting "Sunflowers with Tears" otherwise "named the flower of UKRAINE" to Colchester Refgee action for auction and use as an icon/logo. I painted it in 2004 having had 2 miscarriages - it was at the time a symbol of hope for us as the hospital in Kjiev - ISIDA - is where they solved our infertility problems and all of our 4 wonderful boys were subesequently conceived via IVF.
God bless them all !
A wonderful project for Essex artists to contribute a page of their art to this sketchbook that at the end of the year is a bible of work. I am very proud to have been invited to draw in the book - must say it is such a precious thing - makes me really nervous.
We are delighted to be hosting the Travelling Sketchbook at the Brightlingsea Art and Craft Trail 20-21 July 2019 sadly 2022 will not happen
Boats and water - displayed at the BSC - 30% of all sales go to the club . BSC now sponsor the Brightlingsea Winterfest by hosting our art workshops. I have cards & prints reflecting coastal living on sale
We initiated the Brightlingsea Regatta Art & Crafts Trail allowing artists as local businesses to book indoor venues to show their work

Among my favoutite projects in Germay was to bring a museum to life for kids. Urzeithof Fehrenboetel. The original work is on permanent loan at the Museum. All "Dinos" are available as Prints and art cards directly from me.
I look forward to similar projects working with kids and natural pigments for example
